Taghleef Industries Launches PVC-Free Graphics Film Range for Signage, Wall Graphics and Display

Taghleef Industries has introduced a new range of graphic films for visual communication, signage and outdoor advertising, built on a PVC-free, chlorine-free polypropylene (PP) platform. The launch extends the company’s film expertise from packaging and labels into the graphics and display market, giving converters and brand owners a substrate designed to match the performance of PVC without its plasticiser and chlorine chemistry.

The range includes printable films engineered specifically for UV inkjet and latex wide-format printing, alongside a comprehensive line of overlamination films available in gloss, matte, DL Soft Touch®, anti-scratch, sandy, leather and canvas finishes. Both printable and overlamination films are also available with bio-based and recycled feedstock options, maintaining the same performance standard as the core range.

According to Taghleef’s experts, the PP-based platform delivers up to 35% higher surface yield than standard alternatives, along with consistent dimensional stability, optimized printability and broad pressure-sensitive adhesive compatibility, properties aimed squarely at the practical demands of converting and large-format print.

“This is our first step into the graphics segment, and it’s built on the same technical foundation that’s underpinned our work in labels for years. We wanted a PVC-free substrate that didn’t ask converters to compromise on print performance to get there.” said Diana Dedeic, Product Manager Labels, Taghleef Industries.

The new films are designed for a broad set of applications across retail signage, wall graphics, exhibition and event displays, and interior décor, environments where print quality, finish durability and dimensional stability are tested under close, sustained scrutiny. The range is positioned for both converters evaluating a shift away from PVC-based substrates and brand owners seeking large-format materials with a defined environmental profile.

The launch follows Taghleef Industries’ initial entry into the visual communication market earlier this year and represents what the company describes as the first phase of a broader portfolio of substrates for the graphics segment.

“Ceci n’est pas du PVC” is a nod to René Magritte’s 1929 in which a pipe is captioned “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” (“This is not a pipe”), reminding viewers that a representation of an object is not the object itself. The reference draws the same distinction: a graphics substrate that looks and performs like the market’s PVC default, built instead on a PVC-free PP platform.
