Special Features of Laminating Films

Food contact:

Some paper lamination applications require the film surface to be compatible with indirect food contact, and not all films have this feature. Ti offers several transparent films that meet this need in gloss and matte finishes, as well as several opaque metallized films.

Antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antivirus function:

Even prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Taghleef Industries offered a range of films with antibacterial properties. This range was tested with several strains of coronavirus, including SARS-Cov-2, and proved to be effective against virus transmission. Available in gloss and matte finishes.

Tear resistance:

Ti provides films that can meet the demand for laminated paper products that resist tearing. This is especially useful to prevent young children from damaging these products.

Resistance to warping:

In the publishing market, laminated soft cover designs without flaps may show warping, which consists of the ends of the front and back covers curving outwards. Taghleef’s Curlstop family of films precisely avoids this problem.

Additional protection and stiffness:

Items such as restaurant menus and special cards require double-sided lamination, which encapsulates the paper sheet and provides stiffness and durability. Ti offers the specific films needed for these applications, which are thicker and perform well with frequent handling.
