Opaque & Metallized Laminating Films

Opaque laminating films, unlike transparent films, are applied directly to the paper or cardboard substrate. They can then be printed with the printing techniques and inks appropriate for each type of surface.

It is the film itself, not the paper, that is the support for printing and for additional treatments such as varnishing (screen and digital printing), hot stamping, or gluing (such as for production of folding carton boxes).

Types of Opaque & Metallized Laminating Films

Taghleef’s non-metallized opaque films are available in black and white. White films features a matte finish, while black films have a matte Derprosa DL Soft Touch texture.

As part of Ti’s commitment to sustainability and a more circular economy, our metallized Derprosa NATIVIA® silver gloss film is made of polylactic acid (PLA) and is industrially compostable.
