Taghleef Industries Showcases Next-Generation Film Innovation at Labelexpo Europe

At this year’s Labelexpo Europe, Taghleef Industries transformed its presence into an immersive journey where science, sustainability, and design converged. Visitors were invited to experience innovation as more than just technical progress – but as a creative and targeted approach to shaping the future of labeling. This new direction reflects Taghleef’s commitment to redefining the role of films, not only as functional solutions but as facilitators of circularity, brand expression, and value creation.
The highlight of this vision came with the unveiling of three groundbreaking films:
- SHAPE360® TDSW, a high-performance floatable white polyolefin TD shrink sleeve label film for light-sensitive products, combining functionality and sustainability which, thanks to its inherent lightness achieved thanks to its low density, facilitates the efficient separation of polyolefin (PO) label flakes from rigid flakes of PET bottles during the recycling process, resulting in cleaner PET recycling
- An Innovative Detachable In-Mold Label Film Technology that enables the production of IML films that retain their adhesion during use but are designed to separate cleanly and easily during mechanical recycling, thanks to a uniquely engineered film structure
- A new high-performance PVC-free film designed specifically for indoor and short-term outdoor advertising applications, marking Taghleef’s entry into the visual communication market and delivering a modern, eco-conscious alternative to traditional PVC films
In the center of the Taghleef stand, reDESIGN™ Wall — an interactive showcase developed to stimulate new ways of thinking about label films. More than just an exhibition, a declaration: innovation begins when materials are selected with a purpose.
The project has highlighted a diverse portfolio of success stories where performance meets sustainability.
Visitors explored films made from bio-based and bio-attributed polymers and options incorporating post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. Both mechanically and chemically recycled PCRs were presented, with the latter produced under the ISCC PLUS certification scheme using a mass balance approach, ensuring transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain.
In addition to raw material innovation, reDESIGN™ Wall also highlighted films designed for greater recyclability and end-of-life circular paths, demonstrating how Taghleef’s approach to design is shaping packaging that not only works but regenerates.
Adding depth to this showcase, Taghleef also shared key industry insights during “The Pulse: Learn ∙ Connect ∙ Engage” session. Monica Battistella, Group Sustainability Manager at Ti, emphasized that the new PPWR is not just about compliance, but a non-negotiable part of the industry’s future.
By providing actionable frameworks, she showed how regulatory complexity can be turned into a competitive advantage. Taghleef is already designing packaging strategies that exceed regulatory requirements, anticipate market demands, and unlock new opportunities for a more sustainable future.
By combining technical innovation with thought leadership, Taghleef reinforced its role as a trusted partner for brands navigating both regulatory challenges and market transformation. The message is clear: by rethinking materials, processes, and possibilities, Taghleef is paving the way for packaging solutions that balance functionality, creativity and sustainability.
