Taghleef Industries Strengthens Commitment to Safer Packaging with PFAS-Free Film Solutions

Taghleef Industries, a global leader in packaging film innovation, is taking decisive steps to advance sustainability and consumer safety.

Starting January 1, 2026, Taghleef Industries will adopt selected raw materials where PFAS are not intentionally added across its entire BOPP film portfolio for flexible packaging and labels.

This proactive measure positions Ti ahead of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which from August 2026 will limit the presence of PFAS in food contact packaging.

PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are synthetic chemicals valued for their resistance to heat, water, and oil. However, they are known as “forever chemicals” because they persist in the environment and may accumulate over time, raising concerns about health and ecological impact.

Global regulations are increasingly restricting PFAS in food-contact and packaging applications to protect consumers and ecosystems.

Making its full range of product PFAS-free, Taghleef Industries reinforces its commitment to safer packaging, supporting customers in meeting evolving compliance requirements.
