Challenge
A promising alternative in this context, is represented by stand-up pouches in which lightness, ease of use, sustainability and flexibility required coexist within a single structure. The core complexity lies in maintaining ultra-high barrier properties, essential to protect the product, while preserving the quality and the performance of the packaging format.
Solution
For spreadable creams, Taghleef designed a tailored PP-based spouted stand-up pouch intended to replace traditional glass packaging while ensuring high levels of protection and shelf life.
The structure, enabled by EXTENDO® XZMU technology, combines reduced weight with a more sustainable profile, while providing effective protection against moisture, oxygen, and mineral oil.
In addition to its excellent barrier performance, the EXTENDO® XZMU layer enhances and supports compatibility with Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) applications, contributing to the stabilization and preservation of the product.
