Taghleef Industries honors Earth Day 2021 by planting 1500 trees for future generations

Taghleef Industries is honoring Earth Day 2021 by joining Treedom and planting the first of 1500 trees. The project is designed to engage employees and customers across all regions and is dedicated to future generations.

It is estimated that each of the 1500 Ti Trees will absorb up to 200kg of CO2 from the atmosphere in next 10 years, improving air quality, providing vital habitats for animals, counteracting soil erosion, promoting biodiversity and desertification, and contributing to climate regulation for the entire planet. Choosing the right tree for the right place helps to ensure that good intentions yield positive results for local communities, national economies, and the environment. Therefore, the selection of the species to be planted is based on the needs of the regions and respect local biodiversity.

The Ti Trees project is a tangible way to make a contribution to a healthier planet, supporting our livelihoods, health, and happiness. After all, a healthy planet is a happy planet.
Treedom is a web-based platform that allows people and companies to plant trees around the world and watch them grow. Every tree is planted, geolocated, photographed, and recorded in a database for transparency and tracking.
The Treedom philosophy is to realize sustainable ecosystems that benefit communities in various regions by supporting thousands of local farmers with the initial costs of planting new trees, thereby creating food autonomy and income opportunities over time.
Treedom adheres to the Global Compact of the United Nations, a strategic initiative of the largest corporate citizenship in the world that allows companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles by committing to sustainability.

Earth Day, recognized every year on 22 April, is a global event that promotes environmental protection. More than 1 billion people in 192 countries now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world
Over the last 50 years, EARTHDAY.ORG, has created programs with partners both inside and outside of the environmental movement to tackle new challenges and drive meaningful action. Since it began in 1970, many important events have happened on Earth Day, including the signing of the Paris agreement.

The theme for Earth Day 2021 is Restore Our Earth™ which focuses on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems. The organization will host digital events that include workshops and panel discussions with the most relevant world climate and industry leaders, artists, influencers, and leaders of tomorrow.
