How Taghleef Industries Combines Premium Metallic Aesthetics with Recyclability in the Coffee Market

The coffee market is highly competitive and differentiation on the shelves is key. Metal look is a very good way to differentiate, increase visibility and reinforce premium positioning. Brands are therefore looking for solutions that combine premium aesthetics, functionality, and a sustainable approach.
Challenge
The main objective for this secondary packaging was to fulfill with box over-wrap specific requirements while improving the appearance by bringing metal look.
To achieve this result, Taghleef Industries introduced acrylic coated clear OPP film for use in combination with acrylic coated metal OPP in a mono-material OPP laminate.
The mono PP laminate structure packaging had to:
- Preserve the metal look combined with printing
- Ensure flawless packaging process on overwrapping machine thanks to:
- Controlled slip properties
- Improved low pressure seals
- Allow in to out sides sealing
- Demonstrate mono-material recyclability
Solution
The solution was to use QTA, the two-side acrylic coated OPP developed by Taghleef Industries.
The great advantage is that QTA films guarantee:
- Improved machinability for over-wrapping packaging processes
- Easy printing and lamination
- A different environmental impact, thanks to mono-material PP basis
The case study demonstrates how QTA combined with acrylic coated metal OPP allows a concrete response for reliable and efficient use on packaging machine without compromising on sustainability thanks to its mono-material PP structure.
With QTA, Taghleef Industries supports its partners on the path towards a Circular Economy, offering solutions that combine differentiated look, reliability and environmental responsibility.
