TAGHLEEF INDUSTRIES S.p.A. EARNS TWO ISO SUSTAINABILITY CERTIFICATIONS
CARBON FOOTPRINT OF PRODUCT – SYSTEMATIC APPROACH and GREENHOUSE GASES INVENTORY OF ORGANIZATIONS
Dubai, UAE and San Giorgio di Nogaro, Italy – Taghleef Industries (Ti) announces that two sustainability certifications have been issued to their Italian production site: Carbon Footprint of Product – Systematic Approach/ISO 14067:2018 Annex C and Greenhouse Gases Inventory of Organizations/ISO 140641:2018.
The evolution of European legislation, and mainly the European Green Deal, has led Taghleef to focus on carbon management. The Carbon Footprint of Product – Systematic Approach (CFP SA), developed according to ISO 14067:2018 Annex C and certified by an accredited verification body, is a tool for the quantification of CFP that allows for the cradle-to-gate assessment of a single Ti S.p.A. product for each customer, expressed in kg of CO2 equivalent. CFP SA is based on the LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) methodology and is therefore focused on climate change.
Further, the Greenhouse Gases Inventory of Organization (GHG Inventory), certified by an accredited verification body, has also been implemented according to ISO 14064-1:2018. The GHG Inventory is based on the quantification and reporting of direct and indirect emissions of greenhouse gases of the Italian production site, located in San Giorgio di Nogaro, with reference to base year 2018.
