Methane is used for direct and indirect heating of the plastic film during preheating stages before
longitudinal and transversal stretching. It is equally necessary for the film surface treatment to be prepared for
the future printing phases.
Differences in methane consumption
rates are mainly due to the
variations
of the product mix
requested by the
customers, characterized by different
requirements in terms of unit gas con-
sumption for their production.
