5.5 GHG emissions
Climate change has been identified as one of the principle challenges to face in the next decades
and any possible solution path requires a deep involvement by everyone.
In our sector,
we play an important role along the packaging chain.
Common efforts are needed
to give future generations the opportunity to live in a better world, still using safe and hygienic
packaging.
Our commitment on this item includes both the organization and product level.
Organizational GHG Inventory
We developed the
Greenhouse Gas
(GHG) inventory
of the 2009 emissions, according to the
international
standard ISO 14064-1
, considering all the direct and indirect energy emissions.
For this report data was calculated from 2005, in order to
be aligned
with the
EU emission reduction
timescale commitment.
